2016 Wicklow Race Series: The First Four

The 2016 Wicklow Race Series will consist of two series of four races, one in the first half of the year and one in the second half.
Only two weeks seperate each race, with the series finale set to take place in Roundwood on March 10th. A special awards night will be held in Roundwood after the series final.
Scoring: Participants will be scored on their three best races in the series, with the lowest scoring athlete taking the overall victory. Competitiors will score 1 point for finishing first, 2 points for finishing second and so on.
Categories: The 2016 Wicklow Race Series will feature the following age categories for men and women: Junior, Senior, Over 40, over 45, over 50, over 55, over 60. Participants are asked to stay in the same category for the entire series, based on their age at the first race.
Tie Breakers: If two runners finish level on points overall, the athlete with the best finishing position at the series final in Roundwood on March 10 will win. If athletes finish in a tie on overall points and in the series final, then the athlete with the better head to head record will win. If this is also equal, then the athlete with the most wins (and then 2nd places, 3rd places etc) will win.
Cost: The cost of entry is 5 euro for Athletics Ireland members and 7 euro for non-members.
Children: Children under the age of 13 can not compete in the series.
